"...definitely the funniest piece about depression and fear I've seen." — Daniel Bear Davis

THE CUMMINGTON COUNTY SWIM MEET & DIVING COMPETITION

– original piece co-created in ten days by seven strangers as part of the E|MERGE residency program at Earthdance, Massachusetts, 2011.  From left to right: Kristen Stake, Davina Cohen, Miriam Wolodarski, John Leo, Sophia Remolde, Leaf Tine.  Not in the picture is incomparable Shree Shyam, who cared for the audio.  Though this was only a studio showing, the experience is seminal to my understanding of the value of true collaboration, leading among other things, to my co-starting the Con|VERGE Residency at Ponderosa Tanzland in Germany.

— from the first round of the Artist in Residence program at the Finnish Brotherhood Hall, in 2015. Safe movement in risky situations: with Sam Stone, Sophia Chudacoff, Nuria Bowart, and Rosemary Hannon.  photo credit: Robbie Sweeney.
